It is with sadness that we report that one of the first baseball players in Germany after WWII (for the Frankfurt Juniors) has died. He was also instrumental in developing baseball in Germany, as a player and as part of the board of the German Baseball Association that he helped organize. We had the pleasure of meeting him at the American Sports Summer Camp in Frankfurt and he was a guest several times at our home games. One of the highlights was having him sing “Take me out to the ballpark”. You will be missed, Freddy!
