Wie schon zu erwarten war, müssen wir noch länger auf das erste “Play Ball” warten. Der DBV hat darüber informiert, dass der Saisonbeginn in den DBV-Ligen nun ohne neues Datum bis auf Weiteres ausgesetzt werden soll und spricht diese Empfehlung auch an die Landesverbände aus. Der Hessische Verband HBSV hat sich dieser Empfehlung bereits angeschlossen. Es wird trotzdem versucht, die Baseball- und Softballsaison zu beginnen, wenn es von behördlicher Seite her möglich ist. Insbesondere wichtig für uns: Über den Länderpokal U15, den wir als Gastgeber bislang am 20./21.06.2020 ausrichten sollen, soll zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt entschieden werden. Das DBV-Präsidium und der Ausschuss für Wettkampfsport (AfW) haben in dieser Woche in Telefonkonferenzen das weitere Vorgehen im Bezug auf den Baseball- und Softballspielbetrieb in Deutschland besprochen und folgende Beschlüsse angesichts der bis einschließlich 03.05.2020 durch die Behörden verlängerten Kontaktbeschränkungen gefasst:
– Es wird den Landesverbänden und Vereinen empfohlen, bis einschließlich 03.05.2020 keinen Trainingsbetrieb durchzuführen. In diesem Zeitraum werden vom DBV darüber hinaus auch keine Kadermaßnahmen durchgeführt.
– Der Beschluss von AfW und Präsidium zum Beginn des Spielbetriebs in den DBV Ligen am Wochenende 09./10.05.2020, wird aufgrund der oben genannten behördlichen Verlängerung der Kontaktbeschränkungen aufgehoben.
– Der Saisonbeginn in den DBV-Ligen wird bis auf Weiteres ausgesetzt. Ziel ist es weiterhin – selbstverständlich unter Berücksichtigung der behördlichen Vorgaben –einen Spielbetrieb in diesem Jahr stattfinden zu lassen. Wie bereits mitgeteilt, sind für diesen Fall unterschiedliche Szenarien ausgearbeitet, die den verschiedenen möglichen Startterminen gerecht werden. Sobald absehbar ist, wann ein Spielbetrieb in den DBV-Ligen starten kann, werden wir dies frühzeitig und mit entsprechend ausreichender Vorlaufzeit für die Vereine kommunizieren.
– Die Länderpokale U12, U18 und U19 finden nicht an Pfingsten statt. Der DBV behält es sich vor, die Turniere gegebenenfalls zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt im Jahr nachzuholen. Mögliche Nachholtermine hängen vom Verlauf des Spielbetriebs und der weiteren Gesamtentwicklung ab.
– Über die Durchführung des Länderpokals U15 (geplant für den 20./21.06.2020 in Bad Homburg) wird zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt entschieden.
Angesichts der Charakteristik des Baseball- und Softballsports im Spielbetrieb, wo der Kontakt zwischen Personen nicht vermeidbar ist, sind wir als Sport davon abhängig, wann die derzeit gültigen Kontaktbeschränkungen gelockert werden. Unter Umständen wird es aber möglich sein, den Trainingsbetrieb im Baseball und Softball unter strikten Vorgaben des Abstandshalten mittelfristig wieder durchführen zu können.
Allerdings möchten wir betonen, dass die Gesundheit aller Beteiligten in unseren Überlegungen an erster Stelle steht. Anweisungen und Vorgaben der Behörden werden vollumfänglich unterstützt und umgesetzt.
Die Bundesregierung und Länder haben sich darauf verständigt, am 30.04.2020 über das weitere Vorgehen nach dem 03.05.2020 zu beraten und zu entscheiden. Der AfW und das Präsidium des DBV werden im Anschluss in Telefonkonferenzen die Beschlüsse bewerten und über das weitere Vorgehen im Spielbetrieb entscheiden.
Die Hornets tragen diese Entscheidungen und Empfehlungen natürlich voll mit, auch wenn wir alle natürlich darauf brennen, bald wieder auf oder neben dem Feld zu stehen. Und diese Zeit wird kommen – je disziplinierter wir alle mithelfen, desto schneller. In view of the characteristics of baseball and softball in match operations, where contact between persons is unavoidable, we as a sport are dependent on when the currently valid contact restrictions will be relaxed. Under certain circumstances, however, it may be possible to resume training in baseball and softball in the medium term, subject to strict rules on keeping distance.
However, we would like to emphasize that the health of all participants is our top priority in our considerations. Instructions and specifications of the authorities are fully supported and implemented.
